RS232 to 485 Converter

Model LD-12X RS232 to RS485 Converters are used to extend the drive capability of RS232 compatible signals so that peripheral devices can be kept away from the computer. Number of such peripheral devices can be interconnected over a RS 485 bus. Our Rs232 to RS485 Converter is provided with a 9-pin Plug with RS-232 interface and another 9-pin Socket provides the necessary drive signal for RS 485 bus.

In applications requiring RS 485 bus connection, two or more of these RS232 to RS 485 Converters are to be used. LD 12X RS232 to RS 485 converter provides interface for Transmit/Receive signals. In the RS 485 network, all but one of the peripherals connected on the network will be transmitting at one time and all the other devices on the network will be receiving. Model LD-12X automatically enables the TX signal on the RS485 side whenever it receives data on RS232 side and this remains enabled for next 1ms or 2ms depending on the baud rate setting done through DIP switch selection.

ALL THE SIGNALS ARE OPTICALLY ISOLATED WITHIN THE DEVICE

Cables to connect Computer to RS232 to RS485 converter are to be arranged by the user, depending on the type of connectors provided on the user's Computer and the distance over which data is to be sent. Connection details for various types of RS-232 standards will be given by us along with the product.
