Serial port Isolator

Our Model ISO-02, ISO-03, ISOP-02 and ISOP-03 OPTO-ISOLATORs are meant for optically isolating RS232 port signals to avoid ground current loops and thereby increase the reliability of serial port hardware. All the control and data lines of RS-232 port are isolated using industry standard Optical Isolator hardware.

Ground current loops that are formed due to difference in ground potential between two equipments that are communicating over Serial port, are more often the reason for component failures in serial ports. Our Serial Port Opto Isolators avoid this by optically isolating signals.

OPTO-ISOLATOR has two 9 pin D type Male connectors providing isolated TX, RX, RTS,CTS, DSR and DTR signals. It is independently powered from 230V mains supply. Interconnecting cables are not included as a part of the equipment. Details of cable connections will be supplied along with the equipment.

Cables to connect Computer to RS232 to RS485 converter are to be arranged by the user, depending on the type of connectors provided on the user's Computer/NC machine and the distance over which data is to be sent. Connection details for various types of RS-232 standards will be given by us along with the product.
